ST’s high-performance and high-density single-phase synchronous PWM buck controllers are the ideal solution for computing, networking and high-end consumer applications such as high-performance DC-DC modules, redundant power supplies with hot-plug, niPOL (non-isolated point of load) converters, data centers and telecommunication equipment.

The L672x family offers high efficiency, currents from a few amps to over 35 A, a wide input voltage range from 1.5 to 19 V, high performance at low cost together with a full set of on-board protection functions including sensorless overcurrent protection and an adaptive anti-cross-conduction system.

The L673x series supports an input voltage conversion range of 1.5 to 30 V, and operates from a 4.5 to 16 V power source.  The devices convert a 30 V input to 0.6 V output at a switching frequency programmable up to 1 MHz.  Over- and undervoltage protection, as well as programmable dual-level overcurrent protection, are provided. The family is equipped with complete supervisory and control features, including power good, thermal shutdown, pre-bias start-up management and feedback disconnection.
