Mean Well Enterprises Co. Ltd., headquartered in Taiwan is one of the largest manufacturers of pulsed energy sources, including AC/DC switching power supplies, DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters, battery chargers and power supplies. Devices offered are designed for mounting inside electronic systems (Open Frame Power Supplies) or on the DIN rail. Stand-alone models are also available. With the Company’s growth its product range expanded (presently to include about 2000 items) and the Company’s position in the market improved. In 1993 a new factory was opened in China, in 1999 another one in the USA. Further, the Company owns a network of distributors, densely covering virtually all the world, which combined with many years of experience in the power supplies sector gives the user a feeling of safety and stability. In 1994 the Company obtained the ISO-9001 certificate and since then its products have complied with the TUV, UL, CSA and S MARK standards. To add, since 2004 MEAN WELL has been manufacturing its products in the lead-free technology (RoHS).
