AVX

AVX is undoubtedly one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of passive electronic components. The Company outdoes its competitors. Its 26 factories in 12 countries allow reduction in time the customer waits for a given component to be manufactured. Five principal offices are located in five different countries: the United States, North Ireland, Great Britain, France and Israel. Passive electronic components from AVX find their way to very different customers: from telecommunications, automation and medical sector to household articles and many others. Within the last few years in electronics in general there has been a considerable development of new products - Play Station II, MP3 players, digital TV and cameras, DVD players - to quote just a few. In all these fields AVX has its share and still a lot more to offer. Over the last decade AVX has launched several new products and in total, counting since its establishment, the Company owns 175 patents. Today the Company is best known for its ceramic and tantalum capacitors, connectors, resistors, and integrated passive components. Another asset is the cooperation with the Kyocera Corporation (Japan), which leads to launch of new technologies and products.
