Secure SIM devices are at the heart of user authentication within 2G, 3G and 4G (LTE) compliant mobile communications. Secure SIMs based on the ST32 and ST33 architectures with embedded Flash program memory provide a flexible and powerful platform enabling customers to address the (U)SIM market with reduced risk and development cost.
The ST33 family is based on an ARM® SecurCore® SC300™ and is available with Flash memory sizes from 512Kbytes to 768Kbytes in order to address the whole Java SIM card market.
The ST32 family is based on an ARM® Cortex™-M3 32-bit core and is available with Flash memory sizes from 256Kbytes to 512Kbytes.
In addition to (U)SIM, STMicroelectronics also proposes a Machine To Machine (M2M) platform with solutions for industrial and automotive environments.The M2M product range enables customers to meet M2M quality requirements thanks to its increased temperature range, data retention and memory cycling specifications.
Multi-source manufacturing has been qualified and certified to improve flexibility, service and ensure continuity of supply.
