Avoid load disturbances: DC/DC converters supply regulated DC voltage – at all times.

Change the voltage level, refresh the voltage at the end of long cables or electrically isolate the loads from one another. This ensures error-free operation of the connected load.

Your advantages

  • High level of flexibility, thanks to large input voltage range
  • Extremely robust: protective coating with QUINT...CO for extreme environments, such as 100% humidity, with EX and IEC Ex approvals
  • Preventive monitoring: QUINT POWER indicates critical operating states before errors occur
  • Maximum safety: QUINT POWER trips circuit breakers reliably

When are DC/DC converters used?

DC/DC converters provide a regulated DC voltage. Modules in the QUINT family convert nominal input voltages from 12 V DC, 24 V DC or 48 V DC to output voltages of 5 to 56 V DC. Furthermore, the wide-range devices enable input voltages of 42 to 96 V DC or 67 to 154 V DC.

DC/DC converters perform important tasks:

  • Refresh the output voltage even at the end of long cables
  • Conversion to various voltage levels
  • Electrical isolation for setting up independent supply systems

Converting voltages

The DC/DC converters in the MINI POWER range are suitable for low power ratings. They are available for voltages from 10 to 75 V DC. They supply currents between 0.7 and 2 A. An LED and an active switching output monitor the output voltage.
The connection technology is particularly easy to maintain, thanks to the coded COMBICON connectors.

DC/DC converters featuring leading technologies

The use of leading technologies in DC/DC converters from the QUINT POWER product range increases safety and reliability:

  • Preventive function monitoring warns against critical operating states before errors occur. This is ensured by permanently monitoring the output voltage, output current, and input voltage.
  • The static power reserve enables difficult loads to be started reliably with up to 1.25 times the nominal current (POWER BOOST).
  • The dynamic power reserve ensures fast tripping of standard circuit breakers with up to six times the nominal current for 12 ms (SFB technology).
