Modular media converters from the PSI-MOS product range have been designed for maximum transmission security and system availability in industrial applications. PSI-MOS can be used for all commonly used fieldbus systems.

Your advantages

  • Modular station structure: automatic cross-wiring via DIN rail connectors
  • Integrated optical diagnostics via bar graph display
  • Increased availability, thanks to integrated redundancy functions
  • Use in potentially explosive areas – approved for zone 2

Media converters for PROFIBUS

Media converters from the PSI-MOS product range enable you to convert copper-bound PROFIBUS interfaces for fiber optics (FO). A transparent protocol is used to convert all data rates up to 12 Mbps.

This gives you important advantages:

  • Automatic data rate detection or fixed data rate setting via DIP switches
  • Integrated optical diagnostics for continuous monitoring of fiber optic paths
  • High-quality electrical isolation between all interfaces
  • Bit retiming for any cascading depth
  • Can be combined with the PSI copper repeater in a modular way using DIN rail connectors
  • Intrinsically safe fiber optic interface (Ex op is) for direct connection to devices in zone 1

Media converters for CANopen and ControlNet

You can use media converters to network DeviceNet/CANopen and ControlNet fieldbus systems easily and without interference via fiber optics.

This gives you important advantages:

  • Integrated optical diagnostics for continuous monitoring of fiber optic paths
  • Floating switch contact for early warning of critical states in the fiber optic paths
  • High-quality electrical isolation between all interfaces
  • Combine FO converters with copper repeaters for pure copper connections. What's more, you can use DIN rail connectors to create a modular hub.
