The SOLARCHECK system from Phoenix Contact is a professional solution for monitoring photovoltaic installations, enabling ongoing performance assessment and rapid detection of faults such as damaged panels, faulty contacts or wiring errors. This helps to minimise energy losses and increase the efficiency of the PV system.

Monitoring PV strings with SOLARCHECK enables:

  • immediate detection of performance drops,
  • quick response to errors and failures,
  • accurate measurement of current and voltage without interrupting the cables (Hall sensors),
  • space and cabling savings – power supply via Modbus RTU bus,
  • easy integration with higher-level monitoring systems,
  • expandability up to 1500 V DC and the ability to monitor remote signalling contacts.

The SOLARCHECK modular system includes:

Communication module (SCK-C-MODBUS)

  • Collects data from up to 8 measuring modules
  • Provides measurement values to the master controller
  • Supplies power to the connected modules

Current measurement modules (e.g. SCK-M-I-8S-20A, SCK-M-I-4S-20A)

  • DC current measurement up to 20 A / 8 or 4 channels
  • Backward current detection
  • Additional digital input, e.g. for monitoring surge protection modules

Voltage measurement module (SCK-M-U-1500V)

  • DC voltage measurement up to 1500 V
  • Power supply and data transmission via current module
  • Can be operated in a group or independently

The SOLARCHECK system transmits data via Modbus RTU (RS485) to the master system. Power supply and communication are provided by a single two-wire cable, eliminating the need for additional power supplies.

Phoenix Contact SOLARCHECK is a proven choice for PV system installers and operators, providing full control over the performance of photovoltaic installations, fast service and compatibility with modern automation systems.
