DOLD safety relays for motor control, available from ELTRON, are an important component of safety systems in industrial automation. Their task is to continuously monitor the status of drives and detect any irregularities that could endanger the safety of people or the machine itself.
These devices enable, among other things, speed monitoring, torque loss control, overload protection, shaft lock detection and drive failure detection. If a dangerous situation is detected, the DOLD safety relay initiates an immediate stop procedure in accordance with the programmed conditions. This makes it possible to avoid accidents and mechanical damage resulting from uncontrolled motor operation.
DOLD relays for motor monitoring comply with European safety standards such as EN ISO 13849 and IEC 60204-1 and can be used in systems requiring a high level of reliability (e.g. PL e, SIL 3). They are available in various configurations, with the option of connection to automation systems and integration with other safety devices.
The design of the modules allows for easy mounting on a DIN rail, and their compact form makes them suitable for both switchboards and applications with limited space. The ELTRON range includes various versions of these devices, including those with time delay, status indication and restart function.
The table below lists the available DOLD relay models for motor control, which can be selected according to the type of drive, machine type and functional requirements of the system.
