DOLD insulation monitoring devices, available from ELTRON, provide continuous monitoring of insulation condition in AC, DC, IT and mixed power supply systems. Thanks to precise measurement of impedance to earth, they enable early detection of deteriorating insulation before a failure or safety hazard occurs.

Main applications and product groups

For mixed and high-voltage networks (up to 1000 V AC/DC):

Modules such as LK 5896, LK 5895 and AN 5873 allow the trip threshold to be adjusted over a wide range (from 1 kΩ to 2 MΩ), offering fault signalling, relay outputs and the option of connecting external indicators.

For three-phase AC networks:

Compact solutions such as MK 5880N, IL 5880 and RP 5888 offer insulation monitoring up to 500 V AC and precise adjustment of the trip threshold. Industrial modules with widths of 45–100 mm are also available, such as AG 5870, AI 898 and AN 5890.

For medical applications (compliant with DIN VDE 0100-710):

The IN 5880/710, IR 9112/710 and IP 9111/107 series devices provide continuous monitoring of insulation, temperature and current in IT power supply systems in medical facilities. They are designed for use in hospitals, operating theatres and intensive care units.

For DC networks and battery systems:

The IL 5881 and SL 5881 models are used for insulation monitoring in systems with voltages up to 280 V DC. Additionally, the BA 9054/331 and BA 9054/332 offer protection against voltage drops, short circuits and sulphurisation in emergency power supply systems.

For renewable energy:

Devices such as BD 5877/241 and BO 5877/011 are designed for monitoring insulation and voltage in wind power plants, supporting the continuous operation of turbines.

Panel versions:

AN 5872 and EH 5878 can be front-mounted in operator panels (96 × 96 mm format), providing clear access to the insulation status and convenient integration with control systems.
