ELTRON offers reliable DOLD safety relays designed for use with two-hand stop switches in machine protection systems. They are designed to require the simultaneous use of both hands of the operator when starting the machine, thus eliminating the risk of accidental contact with dangerous moving parts.
DOLD relays of this type monitor the correct operation of two-hand buttons, controlling the time and sequence of their activation. Only a correct, synchronised signal from both buttons will start the machine – otherwise, the system remains in a safe state. This functionality is used, for example, in presses, punching machines, assembly lines and other applications requiring a high level of personal protection.
The devices comply with international standards such as EN ISO 13851, EN ISO 13849-1, IEC 62061 and IEC 60947-5-1 and can be used in systems achieving the highest safety levels (e.g. PL e, SIL 3).
These relays feature a compact housing, high interference immunity and can be integrated with other DOLD safety modules. Thanks to their simple configuration and reliable operation, they are a robust solution for designers and integrators of machine control systems.
