ELTRON offers specialised DOLD safety relays designed for use with photoelectric safety curtains, which play a key role in protecting operators from accessing hazardous areas. Such solutions are widely used in industrial automation systems, automated assembly lines and wherever quick and contactless detection of human presence in the machine's working area is necessary.
Photoelectric safety curtains, used as active protective devices, require reliable monitoring of output signals. DOLD safety relays ensure full control over their operation – they analyse input signals, monitor safety circuits and, if necessary, immediately initiate an emergency stop procedure.
These devices meet the stringent requirements of standards EN ISO 13849, IEC 61496 and IEC 62061, guaranteeing an appropriate level of reliability and functional safety (SIL/PL). An additional advantage is their compact design, resistance to electromagnetic interference and ease of integration with other safety system components.
The table below lists DOLD safety relays designed for optical curtains, available in various voltage versions, output configurations and with additional functions such as manual restart, automatic restart and input status diagnostics.
With the support of the ELTRON technical team, it is possible to select the right solution for a specific control system and operating conditions.
