1. CUS101 base – one component instead of two

Instead of maintaining two warehouses (IEC and UL), it is possible to use one globally certified fuse base.

2. FR10GR series fast fuse (...) and miniature circuit breaker (MCB) – why is an MCB not enough?

A miniature circuit breaker (MCB) needs 10–20 ms to shut down a short circuit. The IGBT transistor contained in the inverter can be destroyed in less than 1 ms.

FR10GR (gR characteristic) works instantly:


  • tripping time < 1 ms;
  • very low I²t (approx. 140 A²s);
  • short-circuit capacity up to 160 kA;
  • effective protection of semiconductors.

The result? The proposed FR10GR series fast fuse(…) allows over 100 times less destructive energy to pass through than a typical overcurrent circuit breaker.


 
Why is it not worth buying cheap fuses ?

Because cheap fuse links often get damaged not due to failure but due to daily cyclic operation – intensive switching, start-stop drives, PV photovoltaic installations.


On the other hand, the FR10GR series fast fuse(…) offers:
