INTERBUS, the open fieldbus system, uniformly connects all process peripherals to all common controllers. The serial bus cable is used to network sensors and actuators, control machines and system parts, and connect higher-level systems. Devices which support the maximum data width of INTERBUS can be integrated using the SUPI4 slave protocol chip. This eliminates the need for register expansion. The baud rate is detected automatically and does not have to be adjusted further.
Furthermore, Phoenix Contact provides full INTERBUS diagnostics. Diagnostics via an external microcontroller is now a thing of the past.
