AS-Interface master

The AS-Interface master is available in two versions for PROFIBUS DP networks:

• Basic master as the cost-effective entry-level version
• Double master with extended functionality

Both devices belong to the latest generation of AS-Interface masters. They are specified according to master profile M4.

The AS-Interface master for Inline can be used in a very flexible way, as it can be integrated into virtually any network using various bus couplers.

AS-Interface slave (I/O slaves)

I/O slaves are required in order to connect sensors or actuators to the AS-Interface network. Devices are available for every possible application:

• Directly in the field with M12 technology
• Where space is limited with M8 technology
• In the control cabinet with COMBICON connector for the I/O level

AS-Interface power supply unit

The special power supply units for AS-Interface are used for data decoupling of the 2-wire system.

A particularly useful feature is the Earth Fault Detection function, or EFD for short, which immediately detects a ground fault in the system, indicates this or shuts down the power supply.

We offer a comprehensive product portfolio for constructing an AS-Interface network.

• Four different qualities of flat-ribbon conductor are available for a whole range of different applications.
• Various topologies can be constructed by installing one or more branches for distributing the yellow flat-ribbon conductor.
• Thanks to the 4-pos. design of the flat-ribbon conductor connector with QUICKON connection technology, you can extend up to two flat-ribbon conductors very quickly and easily with a connector.
• The AS-Interface flat-ribbon conductor and the I/O devices with M12 connection technology for AS-Interface are connected directly to a distributor.
• The IP20 AS-Interface distributor with spring-cage connection (COMBICON) is suitable for connecting flat-ribbon conductors and round cables with the same conductor cross section.
