Increase your productivity and ensure a fast and consistent information flow. Phoenix Contact offers innovative Smart Managed Switches tailored to your system. You can therefore ensure optimum operation of your Ethernet network and smooth data traffic in your automation application.

Your advantages

  • Uninterrupted operation of automation networks with fast redundancy switch-over
  • Easy monitoring and configuration of switch functions, thanks to web-based management, SNMP, and PROFINET device functions or Common Industrial Profile (CIP)
  • Maximum flexibility, thanks to a wide range of media
  • Optimum user support, thanks to the use of IT standards and automation protocols

Lean Managed Switches

Maximum diagnostics in the minimum amount of space.

Lean Managed Switches can be used to connect your networks reliably and redundantly. Thanks to the wide range of connection technologies, you can perfectly integrate Lean Managed Switches into existing fiber optic infrastructures.

  • Extended temperature range
  • Versatile fiber optic connections
  • Support for redundancy protocols
  • Diagnostics capable
  • Multicast filtering
  • Maritime approvals

Smart Managed Switches

Ethernet in realtime: Smart Managed Switches offer high data throughput and high speeds at the same time. Configure the management functions and use various Ethernet standards with just one switch.

  • Fast Ethernet or Gigabit on all ports
  • Ideal for a PROFINET RT or EtherNet/IP™ environment
  • Supports IT realtime services such as video- or voice-over-IP
  • Extended temperature range of -40°C to +70°C for use in an industrial environment
  • Gigabit versions with maritime approval and ATEX zone II approval

Series 7000 Advanced Managed Switches

Redundancy functions are particularly important for high availability in automation networks. The Managed Switches in the 7000 series are the first Industrial Ethernet switches worldwide to support the Device Level Ring (DLR) redundancy mechanism specified in EtherNet/IP™.

  • Superior system availability due to almost bumpless switch-over in less than 3 ms in the event of media failure, thanks to integrated DLR redundancy
  • Cost-effective network structures, as multiple devices can be integrated directly in a DLR ring
  • Easy configuration and diagnostics, as the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) is supported

PROFINET Realtime Switches

Increase the realtime capability of your PROFINET applications.

  • Thanks to ERTEC technology, IRT switches detect PROFINET data packets and forward them even faster with priority.
  • The switch continually monitors the quality of interference-free and diagnosable fiber optic paths and sends the information to the controller.
  • The FL SWITCH IRT IP TX/3POF is ideal for flexible use in the field thanks to its IP67 protection class and push-pull connection technology (AIDA).

Modular Managed Switches

Managed Switches with a modular design from Phoenix Contact form the backbone of your automation application. A wide range of capacities makes it the ideal solution in every way for Ethernet communication at the highest level.

  • Maximum performance with up to twelve integrated Gigabit ports
  • User-friendly local diagnostics and configuration, thanks to the large operator display
  • Fast connection to higher-level networks with optional Layer 3 function and memory card
  • Flexible applications, thanks to the wide range of media

Series 3000 and 4000 standard Managed Switches

For demanding applications, Industrial Ethernet switches from the 3000 series and 4000 series combine high performance with high availability and a redundancy switchover time of just 15 ms.

The standard Managed Switches support a range of IEEE standards, which makes them ideal for use in complex networks.

  • Switches from the 4000 series combine Gigabit networks with cost-effective 10/100 Mbps networks.
  • Increase in network performance and reliability
  • Clearly arranged web interface, thanks to configurable web views
  • Highly robust switches according to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 for the automation of energy systems
