Phoenix Contact plug-in current transformers are an advanced solution for precise current measurement in industrial applications. The range includes over 3,000 variants of transformers: busbar, plug-in and coil. They enable the transformation of alternating currents up to 4000 A to standard secondary values of 1 A or 5 A.
Thanks to their compact housing with a width of 30 mm, these transformers are ideal for installation in confined spaces. The quick-mounting system allows for tool-free and quick installation, even in hard-to-reach installation points. This not only saves time, but also maximises working comfort.
Phoenix Contact offers different gear ratios, accuracy classes and rated powers. For standard applications – e.g. in machine construction, industrial installations or building automation – transformers in accuracy classes 0.5 and 1 are available. For billing measurements or measurements requiring high precision, the manufacturer offers calibrated models or models with a type test certificate – in classes 0.2 / 0.2S / 0.5S.
In addition, the transformers provide insulation up to 1000 V in accordance with EN 50178 and enable reliable measurement of peak current values thanks to a thermal current of 120% of the primary current.
