The ARD-D series are digital remote I/O modules from Autonics designed for communication with industrial automation devices via DeviceNet. The modules allow for expansion of the number of inputs and outputs in control systems, and thanks to the availability of two variants, i.e. a terminal block version and a sensor connector version, they can be easily adapted to different applications and mounting methods.
The devices offer features that facilitate configuration and diagnostics, such as automatic communication speed recognition, mains voltage monitoring, counting the number of connected units, and reading technical parameters. The version with sensor connectors also allows model names to be read. The system can be scaled depending on the version. The terminal strip type allows up to 3 expansion modules to be connected, while the sensor type allows up to 7 modules. In both variants, the number of I/O points can be increased to 64.
ARD-D modules are suitable for use in machine automation, production lines and installations requiring stable data exchange via DeviceNet.
